Why don't toiletry and cosmetic companies sell their products in small versions?

If I go away for a week, I don't need to take 250ml. of shampoo, cleansing cream, toothpaste with me. These products are sometimes avilable as samples. Considering airline restrictions, would it not be profitable for the companies to make these sample sizes available for purchase? Why don't toiletry and cosmetic companies sell their products in small versions?
I've seen travel size toiletries in Sainsbury's, together with travel size washing detergent. I think that the reason for not making smaller sizes available for purchase is quite cynical: it suits them better in commercial terms for us to buy the larger sizes and leave them behind when we pack up to go home, thus having to buy more. Many of us hoard the dinky bottles they supply in hotel rooms and use them for decanting from our large bottles at home for next time we travel. However, that doesn't work for toothpaste. Why don't toiletry and cosmetic companies sell their products in small versions?
I know Boots (the larger stores) do do smaller versions of some of the products they stock, ie. FCUK products, Ted Baker etc etc,

i think Charles Worthington do small shampoos and conditioners (and other hair products) they come in very colourful bottels.

if all else fails Boots also sell (empty) travel size bottels (for creams, shampoos......
Because as a high degree of the costs are in the packaging and marketing , not to mention distribution then the cost of the smaller size would hardly differ from the bigger ones !!
You can get some products in small travel sizes - places like Boots and Superdrug do a section of really cute mini bottles of deoderent, shampoo, baby powder, tooth paste etc.

Charles Worthington do most of their products in mini versions too like little pots of wax for your hand bag.

I think Bojouir have started doing mini versions of their cosmetics for going out clubbing with like dinky little lip glosses that attached to your mobile as a dangally charm.
Everything is available in small packs but that may not be brand of ur liking.. Big companies r not interested as the cost of packing is more costly than the material inside.. Morever it doesn't add significantly to the volume..
Yes they do, look for the minature bottles section that they do in superdrug ideal for travel.

Sorry this is in the UK answers so you'll get UK answers and those are 2 major beauty chains. All companies do small travel versions of their products, they are still quite expensive for what they are but better than taking a large bottle of shampoo. I think the airport shops sell them too.
you can buy smaller toiletries in boots and superdrug
